Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AshbahChat handles information in its iOS app, content-management service, and related notification and subscription features.

Information we process

• A randomly generated installation identifier, app and operating system versions, language, and basic device information needed to operate and troubleshoot the app.
• Notification subscription status and the categories you choose to follow, including the option to receive all categories. You may separately opt in to general AshbahChat messages, offers, and invitations sent through notifications.
• Content activity such as card impressions, article opens, external link clicks, approximate glance and reading time, and scroll depth.
• Membership-meter activity, including unique feed posts viewed and engaged time in editorial chat. The app sends idempotent event IDs so a retry does not intentionally count the same activity twice.
• Subscription and entitlement events supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. AshbahChat does not receive or store your payment-card number.
• Administrator account details when an approved editor signs in to the private CMS.
• Editorial-chat messages and a randomly assigned chat identifier. You may also choose to provide a display name, email address, or phone number so AshbahChat can identify or contact you about your request. If an editor sends a membership invitation inside that chat, we keep its sent, seen, opened, and converted status with the conversation. If an editor shares a story card, we keep the shared story reference and the first time that card is opened so the chat remains useful and the editor can understand whether the suggestion was received.
• Content suggestions you submit, their review status, and an installation-scoped membership session. Chat and membership use separate random credentials; the server stores only their SHA-256 digests, while the credentials themselves are kept on your device.

How we use information

We use this information to deliver and improve content, remember your notification choices, measure content performance and membership thresholds, prevent abuse, answer editorial-chat messages, review content suggestions, provide support, and manage subscriptions when that feature is enabled.

Service providers

AshbahChat uses Supabase for database, authentication, and media storage; OneSignal for push notifications; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; and Apple for iOS distribution, notifications, and in-app purchases. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and choices

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, security, legal obligations, and aggregate reporting. You can disable notifications in the app or iOS Settings, change category choices at any time, independently enable or disable general AshbahChat promotional messages, and manage subscriptions through your Apple ID. Notifications and category choices remain available without a paid membership. Chat contact details are optional. You can ask us through the free support link or official website to review or delete a chat conversation, its membership-invitation history, or a content suggestion or shared-story interaction, subject to legal and security requirements.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Privacy, billing, and safety support is available without a paid membership through the support link shown in the app or our support page. We may update this policy as the app evolves; the effective date above will identify the current version.
